Lauren Sandoval

Assistant Director

Bio Photo 1

Lauren is incredibly excited to begin her time at Camp Young Judaea Midwest! Lauren’s love for camp and Judaism stemmed from her experiences growing up in camp and synagogue life. Since she was 12, she began learning the guitar and worked her way up to becoming a song leader and music specialist at Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute. While in college, she took her role as a song leader out to multiple Reform synagogues in the Chicago area and also became a youth advisor, where her love for working with children flourished. Lauren has a BA in Sociology from Roosevelt University and also participated in the Youth Professionals Seminar held at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati.

In her free time, Lauren loves going on random excursions in the beautiful city of Chicago with friends and family, trying new workouts, cooking, and of course, a good rockin’ song session. Lauren resides in Wheeling, IL and is eagerly awaiting for an incredible summer at camp!
