Noah Gallagher spent many summers as a camper and staff member at CYJ Midwest. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Philosophy and Hebrew Studies, Noah became the Assistant Director of Young Judaea's National Senior Leadership camp, Camp Tel Yehudah, in Barryville, New York. Noah is very happy to be back home in the Midwest.

Noah is married to Lauren; they met at CYJ Midwest in 1991!

... "CYJ Midwest is a safe place-not just in terms of the physical environment, but a place where campers feel safe to explore, make new friends, learn new things, and take on challenges that help them grow."

Robin Anderson

Associate Director
Robin Anderson held a number of positions, including counselor, unit head and program director before assuming the position of associate director in 2006. She has a BA in Jewish Studies and Sociology from Indiana University and an MA in Jewish Communal Service from Brandeis University. Additionally, Robin completed the first cohort of the Yitro Leadership Program for assistant and associate directors, funded by the Foundation for Jewish Camp.

... "I enjoy seeing the transformations that campers and staff are able to make while they are interacting in a society of their own peers."

Camp Young Judaea Midwest Staff

Join the fun by working at camp!
The Camp Young Judaea Midwest staff is a tapestry of individuals who bring their own experience and skill to create a community of hard working and dedicated counselors. Some of our staff have grown up at CYJ Midwest, some have grown up at other camps and some are experiencing overnight camp for the first time. About one-quarter of our staff are Israeli brought over through the Jewish Agency for Israel. This unique blend enables our staff to relate to each camper in a way that is meaningful and relevant.
