Noah Gallagher

Director
Noah Gallagher spent many summers as a camper and staff member at CYJ Midwest. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Philosophy and Hebrew Studies, Noah became the Assistant Director of Young Judaea’s National Senior Leadership camp, Camp Tel Yehudah, in Barryville, New York. Noah is very happy to be back home in the Midwest.

In January 2009, Noah will be wed to Lauren Gross, whom he met at CYJ Midwest when they were both campers.

Robin Anderson

Assistant Director
Robin Anderson has worked for Young Judaea for five years, including being a counselor, unit head and program director at CYJ Midwest before she became the assistant director. She has a BA in Jewish Studies and Sociology from Indiana University and a MA in Jewish Communal Service from Brandeis University.

Lee Van Spier

Educational Director/Shaliach
Lee Van Spier is no stranger to Young Judaea. For four years, he worked for Young Judaea’s Year Course in Israel program as a counselor and a group coordinator. He also worked at Camp Tel Yehudah and YJ’s Israel Summer Programs in various capacities. Lee grew up on Kibbutz Galed in the north of Israel, was a member of the Israeli Scouts as a kid and served in a special infantry unit of the IDF.

Laurie Serber

Bookkeeper/Office Manager
Laurie Serber is a Midwesterner through and through. She has lived in St. Louis Park, MN and Kansas City, MO before settling in Chicago, IL over 25 years ago. Before coming to CYJ Midwest, she worked for 11 years as the Bookkeeper/Office Manager for a profitable company in Wilmette, IL. Laurie has 2 adult children, a son & a daughter. Her daughter has fond memories of going to CYJ Midwest & Camp Tel Yehudah.

... “I love being up at camp during the summer because I can see the children growing, learning, and having a good time knowing that their camp experiences will be memories for a lifetime.”



Greg Pabelick

Site Director
Greg Pabelick has been at CYJ Midwest for 11 years. Along with training from the US Navy, he brings several certifications and training in property maintenance and property management. He has experience and training in several different areas, including boiler operation, electronics and drafting.
