Birthday, Mitzvah and Race Fundraisers

Mazel Tov!

Many campers have chosen to include CYJ Midwest in their Bar or Bat Mitzvah celebration as part of a special mitzvah project.

We are very grateful to the campers who have included Camp Young Judaea Midwest in their Bar or Bat Mitzvah. For example, one camper designated the Miriam Soboroff-Dena Steinberg Scholarship Fund as his mitzvah project and asked friends and family to make a donation in honor of his Bar Mitzvah. He added this note to his invitation: “I feel that CYJ Midwest is my home away from home and every kid that wants to should be able to go to camp. I hope that I can help to make that happen.”

Another camper designated the Area of Greatest Need program as her mitzvah project. She participated in Chicago’s “Rock ‘n Roll Half Marathon” and asked friends and family to sponsor her by making a donation to camp.

Many campers, alumni and parents have made donations with a birthday fundraiser on Facebook.  Set your own goal and promote it through your news feed.  Click here to set it up!

If you’re interested in any of these options and have questions, email Samantha Lamers, Director of Operations here.  We are happy to discuss ideas and options with you! You can also stare a custom fundraiser by clicking the button at the bottom of this page.
