Entering 12th Graders

Our Madrichim in Training (MIT) program is available to entering 12th graders. Participants will explore activities designed just for them and never solely be responsible for other children. At the same time, they’ll get a hearty introduction to the life of being a counselor, apprenticing with seasoned pros to see what the madrich/a life is all about!

We have 2 tracks for this program, one of which goes to Israel with YJ Global’s Gesher. To find out more about this exciting program, click here.

NEW! Taste of CYJ

Set against the backdrop of our 80+ acre waterfront campsite in Central Wisconsin, this flexible program invites campers of all ages to delve into a diverse range of elective-based activities, from water skiing to arts and sports. Our pluralist community, spanning over 10 states and international borders, fosters connections with Jewish heritage while embracing individuality. With this mini camp experience, a seamless transition to the Noar Aleph program awaits, promising a transformative adventure that shapes future Jewish leaders. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this unforgettable journey towards self-discovery and camaraderie.

NEW! Avodah

Discover Avodah, a dynamic program exclusively designed for entering 10th and 11th graders. With the goal of bridging the camper-to-madrich transition, Avodah offers an inspiring summer experience that blends personal growth, impactful service projects, and leadership development. Created in collaboration with Tel Yehudah and Young Judaea Global, Avodah serves as a vital touchpoint for upper high school students, fostering connections with camp while offering the option to transition to Tel Yehudah as a cohesive group. Through its dedicated madrichim, individual bunks, and unique service-based curriculum, Avodah nurtures leadership potential, builds lasting friendships, and provides an opportunity for seasonal staff to contribute. Secure your place in this pioneering endeavor, shaping your journey towards becoming a future Jewish leader within our vibrant camp community.

  • Cancellations between April 2 and April 30, 2024: You will receive a refund for all payments, except for the $450 deposit and any credit card transaction fees incurred.

A $450 deposit per session/per camper is required upon enrollment for all sessions.
Noar Camper Extensions

Noar Campers in entering 2nd and 3rd grades will be eligible for an extension to full sessions:

1. Parents can decide in advance if their child will have the option to extend
2. After the first week of camp, a community care professional will connect with the child and parent to make sure that an extension is suitable for the respective camper.
3. There will be financial aid options available for the extension to offset the cost (if need be)

Payment Plans

When registering online, families have four payment options to choose from:

  1. Pay in full at the time of registration: By selecting this option, you will receive a 2% discount on the total amount.
  2. Pay in three equal installments: Payments will be due on November 1, January 1, and March 1. If registering after November 1 or January 1, your first payment will be due the following Monday after completing registration. Please note that this option completes all payments by March 1, 2024.
  3. Pay in equal monthly installments: This plan spreads the total cost over several months, with the final payment due on March 1, 2024.
  4. Scholarship Assistance: If applying for scholarship assistance, a $400 payment per month per child/session is required until the camp scholarship is awarded. Once the scholarship award is applied to the camp balance, the payment plan will be automatically changed to equal monthly installments based on the scholarship award on the first of each month, with the final payment on June 3, 2024. To be eligible for a scholarship, the $400 payment plan per month per child/per session must be in place.

All outstanding payments must be made by June 3, 2024 to be eligible to enter Camp Young Judaea Midwest.

By submitting an application, you grant Camp Young Judaea Midwest permission to charge the credit card or eCheck on file for the outstanding balance on your account on April 1, 2024 (or June 3 for financial aid recipients). If you wish to explore an alternative payment plan that concludes on or before June 3, 2024, please reach out to our office at info@cyjmid.org to discuss further options.

After June 2, 2024, all payment plans are void and camp tuition must be paid in full on June 3, 2024.

We are not accepting monthly tuition checks in the mail unless they are ‘Paid in Full’.

Payment Policy

Camp Young Judaea Midwest is pleased to accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and eCheck for your convenience. However, we highly encourage the use of eCheck as the preferred method of payment due to its reduced cost. Please note that all credit card payments will incur a 2.5% credit card fee per transaction.

Deposits can be paid by Credit Card, Debit Card or eCheck when completing the application.  Deposits are required to hold your space.

Credit card fees are not refundable.

Refer a Friend Discount

Any current camper who refers a first-time camper (not a sibling and must be a new family to CYJ) who attends CYJ 2024 will receive a $300 tuition credit (applied to you or the new campers, your choice).  There is no limit on the number of tuition credits a camper may receive. This fee is not valid for cash and may not be used toward your deposit. The referring camper must attend camp to get the tuition credit. If the referred camper cancels, the credit will be removed. Please email the names of campers you have referred to Hannah at hannah@cyjmid.org. Those families must indicate that you referred them when they register.

Sibling Discount

A $200 discount will be applied to a family’s account for each additional child registered after the first camper.

Tuition Assistance

The 2024 scholarship application will open in December 2023.

Families applying for scholarship assistance must provide a per child deposit of $450 at the time of registration and agree to the payment plan.

Families are required to have a $400 per child payment plan set up with CYJ for the application to be finalized and for a tuition assistance application to be accepted. For policies regarding the tuition assistance process, please click here (2023 policies)

If scholarship assistance is not awarded or declined and your child will not attend CYJ, then everything is refundable less the FACTS fee and credit card fees if you did not use eCheck.

Required Camper Forms

To enable us to prepare for your campers’ arrival, all required camper forms must be completed and submitted by May 3, 2024. These forms are essential in helping us create a nurturing and supportive environment for your children.

Please note that after May 3, 2024, a $75 late fee per camper will be applied for any outstanding forms unless prior approval is granted by CYJ staff.

Your cooperation in completing the required camper forms by the specified date is greatly appreciated, and it allows us to ensure a smooth and enjoyable camp experience for your children.
