Our Madrichim in Training (MIT) program is available to entering 12th graders. Participants will explore activities designed just for them and never solely be responsible for other children. At the same time, they’ll get a hearty introduction to the life of being a counselor, apprenticing with seasoned pros to see what the madrich/a life is all about!
We have 2 tracks for this program, one of which goes to Israel with YJ Global’s Gesher. To find out more about our MIT program, click here.
Rising 11th graders are invited to return after their Hadracha session at Tel Yehudah to bring what they have learned home to CYJ Midwest. As a traveling cohort, TY participants will finish their summer debriefing on how their leadership training will reflect on their lives back home. They will also shadow age groups and create their own programing for campers, showing off their leadership skills!
Participants must have attended TY’s Hadracha program first session to attend.
Exclusively for rising 10th graders, Avodah is CYJ’s program to create a lasting mark at Camp. Campers will spend the first weeks of Camp creating something on camp that will leave a legacy, such as the decagon, the Gaga pit, or the ever illusive “Pit.” Campers also get their own cabin activities with time to Waterski, rock climb, the CYJ Midwest classics. At the end of the program, campers are invited to transition to Tel Yehudah, Young Judaea’s senior summer camp, as a cohesive group. Participants who register for a session at Tel Yehudah will receive a $400 discount off tuition.

Mini-Session Campers are eligible for an extension to full sessions:
1. Parents can decide in advance if their child will have the option to extend
2. After the first week of camp, we will connect with the camper and parent to make sure that an extension is suitable for the respective camper.
3. There will be financial aid options available for the extension to offset the cost (if need be).
When registering online, families have four payment options to choose from:
- Pay in full at the time of registration: By selecting this option, you will receive a 2% discount on the total amount.
- Pay in three equal installments: Payments will be due on November 1, January 1, and March 1. If registering after November 1 or January 1, your first payment will be due the following Monday after completing registration. Please note that this option completes all payments by March 1, 2026.
- Pay in equal monthly installments: This plan spreads the total cost over several months, with the final payment due on March 1, 2026.
- Scholarship Assistance: If applying for scholarship assistance, a $400 payment per month per child/session is required until the camp scholarship is awarded. Once the scholarship award is applied to the camp balance, the payment plan will be automatically changed to equal monthly installments based on the scholarship award on the first of each month, with the final payment on June 1, 2026. To be eligible for a scholarship, the $400 payment plan per month per child/per session must be in place.
All outstanding payments must be made by June 1, 2026 to be eligible to enter Camp Young Judaea Midwest.
By submitting an application, you grant Camp Young Judaea Midwest permission to charge the credit card or eCheck on file for the outstanding balance on your account on April 1, 2026 (or June 1 for financial aid recipients). If you wish to explore an alternative payment plan that concludes on or before June 1, 2026, please reach out to our office at info@cyjmid.org to discuss further options.
After June 1, 2026, all payment plans are void and camp tuition must be paid in full on June 1, 2026.
We are not accepting monthly tuition checks in the mail unless they are ‘Paid in Full’.
Camp Young Judaea Midwest is pleased to accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and eCheck for your convenience. However, we highly encourage the use of eCheck as the preferred method of payment due to its reduced cost. Please note that all credit card payments will incur a 2.5% credit card fee per transaction.
Deposits can be paid by Credit Card, Debit Card or eCheck when completing the application. Deposits are required to hold your space.
Credit card fees are not refundable.
A $200 discount will be applied to a family’s account for each additional child registered after the first camper.
The 2026 scholarship application will open in December 2025.
Families applying for scholarship assistance must provide a per child deposit of $450 at the time of registration and agree to the payment plan.
Families are required to have a $400 per child payment plan set up with CYJ for the application to be finalized and for a tuition assistance application to be accepted.
If scholarship assistance is not awarded or declined and your child will not attend CYJ, then everything is refundable less the FACTS fee and credit card fees if you did not use eCheck.
To enable us to prepare for your campers’ arrival, all required camper forms must be completed and submitted by May 2, 2026. These forms are essential in helping us create a nurturing and supportive environment for your children.
Please note that after May 2, 2026, a $75 late fee per camper will be applied for any outstanding forms unless prior approval is granted by CYJ staff.
Your cooperation in completing the required camper forms by the specified date is greatly appreciated, and it allows us to ensure a smooth and enjoyable camp experience for your children.
